The article studies scientific influence to the business emerging and to solving its current problems. Moscow, where the one fifth of all the Russian small businesses has been concentrated for the last decade, reflects the processes in small business and the country economy in general. This, the authors think, make the Moscow example very representative and naturally reflecting the adequate all-Russian tendencies changing with time. According to the given data, significant part of the Moscow small businesses continue their activities the same way as the non-Moscow oenes, after the first year of existence and in the begining of the 21st century.
