Agricultural and economic tourism development in the Kaluga region stimulating the agroindustrial complex

The article proves that agricultural (together with ecological) tourism can become one of the promising lines of the Kaluga region, but now it’s but an embryo. The author points out a number of factors that contribute to the urgency of its development. Among them there are a huge resource potential, natural and climate factors, social, cultural and economic conditions. Countryside; types of activity related to small rural enterprises, land, wild nature and traditional life; participation in the life and activities of rural population – all these are regarded as the main features of the genuine rural tourism.
