Pecuniary valuation of timber resources in terms of its multiple use (case study of the national park “Kurshskaya kosa”)

The pecuniary valuation showed that timber is valuable as a recreation object rather than raw materials. The authors thus conclude that recreation value is much higher than that of deforestation of Kurshskaya kosa using it as a supplier of raw materials. The study says that many people are willing to raise funds for Kurshskaya kosa preservation, which will contribute to working our a respective mechanism.
