The article gives an economic assessment of grain production tendencies, substantiating the priority ways to stimulate winter wheat grain production in the region. Among them there are extension of using mineral fertilizers in order to define a theoretically substantiated dose per 1 hectare of the acres of crop; improving the fleet of machines and tractors, introducing new both domestic and foreign efficient equipment thereto; and using resource-saving agricultural methods of growing crops; and growth of the production concentration.
