Ways of Perfecting the Railroad Transport and its Influence on Economy Growth in Ural Federal District

The article contemplates the role of railroad transport and its economical importance for Russia in general and the Ural region. The author pays special attention to main problems of the industry in the whole country and in Sverdlov region. He has defined the tasts and the role of railroad transport in North Ural development within the unified programme "Industrial Ural - Polar Ural". A number of descisions is offered, to help efficient development of transport and economical infrastructure of Sverdlov region.
