The article offers a method for comprehensive evaluation of efficient use of alternative engine fuel in the region (Kostroma region as an example), based on maintannance and analysis of the car transport register in Kostroma region; on assessing the economical potential of alternative engine fuel use; on creating a new comprehensive ecological and economical criteria for alternative fuel efficiency evaluation; on use of the amended evaluation methods for economical efficiency of investments to equipment and companies for transferring the cars to gaz-based fuel.
