Food and food processing industry in Belgorod region is the second large in terms of prodution scope, ferrous industry being the first. The article reflects the questions of speific activities development in the regional food businesses. It analyses the main indicators of the companies' work,grouped by the type of economical activities. It gives evaluation of increasing the production scope, the condition of facilities an equipment, and the use of the productive facilities by different producers.
