Regions of Depression: Typical Features and Cure for Depression

The article based on theoretical and statistic analysis describes major typological features of depressed regions. Attention is mainly paid to the typology of fepressed areas and the depression triggering criteria, taking productive Kurgan region as an example. The author's unrestanding of anti-depressant regional strategies is given, in view of the latest federal projects, defined as main targets of social and economical development in Russia up to the year 2020, including the regional aspect.
