Subject. This article focuses on the problems and promising directions of Russia's international energy cooperation in the field of pipeline oil transportation.
Objectives. The study aims to identify the key problems of the Russian mainline pipeline transport system functioning in the context of international energy cooperation.
Methods. For the study, I used methods of systematization, comparative analysis, computational interpretation of statistical indicators and scenario modeling with the allocation of inertial, basic and accelerated development options.
Results. The article reveals that the most promising area of Russia's international cooperation in the field of pipeline oil transportation is phased cooperation with China and India.
Conclusions. The proposed conclusions can be useful in developing a strategy for the pipeline transport development, Russia's foreign economic policy in the energy sector, and the system for assessing infrastructure risks of international oil pipeline projects.
