Subject. This article focuses on the technological sovereignty of the Ural macroregion in the context of external challenges and sanctions restrictions. Objectives. The study aims to investigate the level and dynamics of technological sovereignty of the Ural macroregion, reveal interregional imbalances, and identify groups of regions according to the technological development level. Methods. For the study, we used methods of analysis, synthesis, statistics, graphical data visualization and strategic analysis. Results. The article reveals a significant heterogeneity of the Ural macroregion subjects in terms of technological sovereignty. It also establishes that none of the regions demonstrates stable leadership in all indicators at the same time. There is a significant gap between leaders and outsiders. Conclusions. To strengthen the technological sovereignty of the Ural macroregion, a balanced regional policy is needed, taking into account the specifics of each group of regions. The key direction is to reduce inter-regional disparities through the coordination of efforts at the federal and regional levels.
