Subject. This article focuses on the trends in the development of the Russian freight transportation market. Objectives. The study aims to study the trends in the development of the truck transportation market in Russia for the period from 2000 to 2023. Methods. For the study, I used methods of comparative analysis, relative and average values, and indicators of variation series. Results. The article presents a broad overview of the statistical performance of the truck transport in Russia. It also identifies the main reasons for the decline in the number of enterprises performance indicators in the automotive services market. Conclusions. Road transport is a key sector of the economy, making a significant contribution to the socioeconomic development of the country in comparison with other modes of transport. For the successful development of the national road transport sector, the subjects of the transport services market need to quickly adapt to changes in the environment and new trends.
