Subject. This article discusses key components of the corporate security system based on the BPM approach. Objectives. The study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the business processes economic security and economic security as a business process, and develop a corporate economic security process model for an industrial enterprise. Methods. For the study, we used a process-oriented approach based on the BPM concept. Results. The article forms a substantive basis for the categories Economic Security of Business Processes and Economic Security as a Business Process. The differences between these concepts are presented based on the systematization of key characteristics and features of each category. Conclusions. A process-oriented approach based on the BPM concept provides large industrial holdings with the opportunity to align business processes and the strategy for ensuring economic security, thereby increasing the overall efficiency of the company's functioning through the optimization of specific actions both within individual departments and at the enterprise level, as well as at the intersection of several business units within a holding structure.
