Subject. This article focuses on the mechanisms of State financial regulation of the environmental agenda in the chemical industry.
Objectives. The study aims to identify global trends and challenges in the chemical industry development, and determine the content of mechanisms of State financial regulation.
Methods. For the study, I used the methods of analysis, comparison, and generalization of global trends.
Results. The article presents global trends and challenges of the chemical production industry development, and determines strategic directions of State financial regulation. It also carries out an assessment of budget funding mechanisms and the implementation of State programs.
Conclusions. It is necessary to increase the effectiveness of State financial regulation of the Russian chemical industry in the context of adaptation to new challenges. The results of the study can help in the formation of State financial policy aimed at implementing the environmental agenda in industrial sectors.
