Subject. This article focuses on the belligerent policy of some Western countries.
Objectives. The study aims to prove that a neglectful attitude towards historical experience inevitably leads to negative outcomes.
Methods. For the study, I used the methods of macroeconomic, statistical, and military-economic analyses, as well as the results of many years of discussions among historians, philosophers, economists, and politicians.
Results. The article proves the inconsistency of the military-economic ambitions of the European authorities and their American masters, and shows that Russia is capable of ensuring its own security, no matter who threatens it.
Conclusions. The fulfillment of the special military operation tasks, successful implementation of national projects, and achievement of national goals under the conditions of Western hybrid aggression can be determined by the new development model, in which Russia's military economy is organically integrated as the most advanced part of the national economy, on which the security of the State depends.

Keywords: politics, economy, defense industry, military-economic potential, strategic military and military-economic planning
