Objectives. The article aims to analyze the potential for Russian companies to grow to the level of large innovative companies.
Methods. For the study, we used comparative, descriptive, and analytical methods.
Results. The article finds that increasing profits can be achieved through obtaining financial support by entering into contracts and agreements with State corporations and law enforcement agencies. It also defines the options for creating and developing Russian companies operating in the field of innovative technologies.
Conclusions. The insufficient development level of the venture market is the main obstacle to Russian companies' growth. Support from both private businesses and the government are necessary.
