Subject. This article discusses leasing as a tool for modernizing logistics in Russia, and the risks for leasing participants in the field of maritime cargo transportation.
Objectives. The article aims to consider the main challenges faced by the participants of the lease agreement.
Methods. For the study, we used the methods of systems data analysis, and domestic and foreign scientific publications.
Results. The article highlights the main risks faced by key leasing participants, and the methods for managing them. It also discusses challenges that Russian maritime carriers encounter in the current conditions.
Conclusions. The obtained results can serve as a basis for strategies that promote the efficiency of key leasing participants in Russia.
