Subject. This article discusses implementing Business Intelligence systems to optimize information and analytical support for the Russian regions. Objectives. The article aims to develop proposals for the integration of BI technologies into the Russian regional management system based on the assessment of their effectiveness. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of systems data analysis, and domestic and foreign scientific publications. Results. The article demonstrates that BI tools implementation in the regional management systems can lead to data collection and analysis optimization and reduction of the threat to Russia's economic security. Conclusions. The implementation of BI systems contributes to increased data transparency in the context of ensuring sustainable development of the regions of the Russian Federation.
