Subject. This article discusses the sustainability of economic systems? development at various levels under the current conditions in Russia. Objectives. The article aims to identify the impact of external and internal factors on the sustainability of the Russian economic systems. Methods. For the study, we used scientific abstraction, analysis and synthesis. Results. The article determines the need to classify economic entities of regions and industries according to the nature of their competitive interaction. Conclusions. It is necessary to take into account social, ecological, and economic factors when identifying the sustainability of the Russian economic systems.
