Subject. This article focuses on how macroenvironment factors influence sustainable machine building enterprises development.
Objectives. The study aims to classify factors of machine building enterprises macroenvironment and identify the goals of sustainable development for the industry companies.
Methods. For the study, we used such methods of scientific research as analysis, synthesis and systematization.
Results. The article classifies enterprises macroenvironment factors in the machine building industry of the Russian Federation based on the PEST analysis. The study forms the goals of sustainable development for Russian machine building enterprises and categorizes them.
Conclusions. The macroenvironment factors have a significant impact on sustainable development goals of enterprises in the Russian engineering industry. It is necessary to reform the goals of enterprises of the sector.
