Digital transformation as a model for optimizing and modernizing a modern enterprise’s activities: The agricultural enterprises case study

Subject. This article focuses on the implementation of transformational digital processes into the current economics of the Russian Federation.
Objectives. The article aims to consider the impact of digital transformation on the Russian agricultural industry.
Methods. For the study, we used the methods of logical analysis and synthesis, systematization , and comparison.
Results. The article reveals the interest of agricultural enterprises in the service of collecting and aggregating information. It also analyzes factors hindering digital transformation of the industry, and presents a list of digital tools and information systems in agriculture.
Conclusions. It is necessary to carry out a comprehensive programme for the digital transformation of agriculture in Russia, (since it) is important for ensuring the country?s food security.
