Subject. This article focuses on selection of the most effective model of industrial development as a factor of national security of Russia. Also, it considers methods of industrial systems modeling.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the concepts and approaches to the study of industrial systems models, as well as substantiate promising areas of industrial development in Russia in the context of modern global technological and institutional changes.
Methods. For the study, we used concepts of modernization and industrialization, institutional economic theory, as well as comparative analysis, econometric and economic-statistical methods.
Results. The article reveals characteristics and distinctive features of various industrial development models. It also analyzes key indicators of technological development of various countries and discusses recommendations for improving industrial policy and mechanisms for managing the industrial development of Russia.
Conclusions. Application of the national projects model and technological cooperation with the EAEU countries is the most promising direction for achieving technological sovereignty in the industrial development of Russia.
