Subject. The article considers intellectual technologies, indicators used to assess the results of scientists’ activities. Objectives. The aim is to evaluate the level of application of intellectual technologies in various areas across the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. Methods. The study draws on descriptive, analytical, comparative methods, as well as the rating method. Results. There is an uneven distribution of advanced manufacturing technologies across the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. In the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Primorsky Krai, and Khabarovsk Krai the new technologies are primarily developed. The leading regions in the use of new technologies are the Zabaykalsky, Primorsky, and Khabarovsk Krai. The leaders in the diversity of applied types of intelligent technologies are the Republic of Buryatia, Zabaykalsky, Primorsky, and Khabarovsk Krai. In terms of the number of sectors, in which intelligent technologies are applied, the leaders are the Republic of Buryatia, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Zabaykalsky, and Primorsky Krai. Conclusions. Government and private sector support is needed to accelerate the uptake of smart technologies in different areas. This is particularly relevant for the regions of the Far East, as they are strategically important for the socio-economic development of Russia.
