Subject. This article discusses the issues of ensuring economic growth, rational use of production assets and labor resources.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the trends in the implementation of the industrial potential of some regions of Russia for the period 2017–2021.
Methods. For the study, we used a statistical analysis.
Results. The article breaks down Russian regions by level of industrial potential. Particular attention should be paid to such industrial policy instruments as an active reduction in imports, attracting domestic and foreign investment.
Relevance. The results of the study can be used to design a long-term programme for the development of the real sector of the Russian economy.
