Subject. This article discusses the change in the foreign policy situation and the escalation of military tensions.
Objectives. The article aims to identify the factors influencing the situation on the global arms market.
Methods. For the study, I used the methods of comparative analysis, synthesis, and forecasting.
Results. The article finds that technological, economic, foreign policy factors, including lobbying and sanctions, as well as the coronavirus pandemic and military conflicts, have had a significant impact on the development of the global arms market. Despite a slight slowdown during the coronavirus pandemic, the arms market has been characterized by steady growth over the past decade.
Conclusions. Currently, the increase in the number of brush fires encourages the increase in military expenditures and the saturation of the world arms market.
