Subject. This article deals with the issues of development of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
Objectives. The article aims to develop methods for optimizing the costs of implementing various projects in the military sphere.
Methods. For the study, we used a structural analysis.
Results. The article finds that the risks associated with the internal and external environment have a significant impact on the amount of material costs for the development of products in the military sphere.
Conclusions. The development of a list of technical and economic indicators taken into account when monitoring the costs of creating military equipment in risky and risk-free conditions is absolutely necessary.
