Subject. The article explores tourism as one of the most important sectors of Kazakhstan's economy.
Objectives. The aim is to analyze the main economic indicators of the tourism industry development, make recommendations to improve the quality of tourism services.
Methods. The study draws on methods of systems and statistical analysis.
Results. We analyzed the main economic indicators of the tourism industry. The paper established that the coronavirus pandemic and the introduction of international sanctions had a dramatic effect on supply and demand in the tourism sector.
Conclusions. The process of restoring the tourism industry in Kazakhstan may be accelerated with the support of the State and professional associations.
