Subject. This article presents an overview of investment tools used nowadays, as well as the specifics of their implementation. Objectives. The article examines the essence of investment and investing, in general, analyzes the investment tools and vehicles currently in use, and assesses their economic efficiency. Methods. For the study, I used the methods of analysis and synthesis, comparison, and generalization. Results. The article presents an original classification of investments, identifies the main categories of investors and the areas for investing funds. It highlights the peculiarities and prospects of investing in financial market investment vehicles. Relevance. The considered specific features of investment tools and vehicles can help potential investors choose the most effective areas of investment within the framework of investment strategy development.
