Analyzing the financial sector's position in the Russian economy

Subject. This article deals with the issues of stability of the financial system of Russia.
Objectives. The article aims to find the best tools for improving the financial system of Russia.
Methods. For the study, I used the methods of statistical, neural network, and cluster analyses.
Results. The article determines the significant volatility of the growth rate of the monetary aggregate M2 and notes a decrease in the amplitude values of the growth rates of the debt of the non-financial sector and households on bank loans and issued debt securities.
Conclusions. The financial sector in the Russian economy acts as a regulator of the growth of debt of the non-financial sector and households on bank loans and issued debt securities. Currently, loans and borrowings are the most effective financial instruments.
