Subject The article focuses on the customs mechanism for regulating flows of fish products in the Russian Federation. Objectives The study is aimed to enhance the customs mechanism for regulating flows of fish products to ensure the national food security and increase the competitiveness of the Russian enterprises nationwide and worldwide. Methods The study is based on methods of comparison, generalization and statistical methods of research. Results I found out that the customs regulations are insufficiently considered by the government to develop the fishing industry and call for its improvement. The proposed conceptual principles for enhancing the customs regulations were used to conceptually build the customs mechanism for regulating flows of fish products in the Russian Federation. Conclusions and Relevance If put in practice, the principles will enhance the efficiency of the customs regulations to develop the fishing industry of the Russian Federation. The findings can be used to improve public services for regulating flows of fish products through the customs mechanism.
