Subject It is vital to form the organizational and administrative infrastructure of the modern economy to stimulate digitization processes, subsequently raise the competitiveness of economic systems at different levels. Regional data centers should become a driving mechanisms for creating the organizational and administrative infrastructure of the digital economy. Objectives The study is intended to find mechanisms and tools for setting up the organizational and administrative infrastructure, inducing the market of regional data centers serving the majority of international organizations. Methods The study involves logic, analytical and comparative methods to examine mechanisms and tools for framing the organizational and administrative infrastructure of the modern digital economy. Results I analyzed the existing profit-making data centers, determined their purposes and goals in the digital economy. The article focuses on promising aspects in the development of regional data centers through the organizational and administrative infrastructure. I systematized the existing operations system of data centers worldwide and justifies its applicability in Russia in order to accelerate digitization processes. Data centers were proved to serve as conduits of digital transformation processes in economic systems at different levels. The article gives a view of the future of the organizational and administrative infrastructure of data centers and forecasts its economic effects. Conclusions and Relevance Framing the organizational and administrative infrastructure of data centers is a necessary step of their development and dissemination worldwide and nationwide. The article provides the rationale for using successful operational practices of data centers in leading economies, adjusting them for priorities of the national program, The Digital Economy of the Russian Federation.
