Importance The article reviews opportunities and challenging issues of economic integration of the EEU countries in science and technologies.
Objectives The research devises approaches to integration of mechanisms to steer scientific and technological development and subsequently ensure multifunctional optimization of the organizational and economic interfacing of all types of scientific and technological structures in the EEU countries.
Methods The research reviews processes of forming a new technological basis through the coordination of the EEU scientific and technological activities.
Results We provide the rationale for further integration of scientific and technological development management mechanisms to generate an import substitution profile of mutual orders and supplies within the EEU. We suggest concentrating strategic trends in the formation of the new technological basis on the coordination of the EEU scientific and technological activities, considering projected configuration of segments under technological modes of the future and existing financial constrains of the processes.
Conclusions and Relevance To help scientific and technological sectors of the EEU countries catch up with their foreign competitors, macroeconomic processes should be optimized and configured so to form a new technological basis driven by interfacing of all types of scientific and technological structures. Relying upon the basis, it would be possible to form the new technological framework of the EEU innovation system, which will create new markets in global economy. The proposed management technique is intended as a part of technologies to manage national innovation systems of Russia and other EEU countries.
