Importance The article discusses the identification of the quality integrity of the most crucial types of nontransferable tacit knowledge and updating their effect on the creation of value added in the contemporary cognitive economy.
Objectives Proving that the system of tacit knowledge plays a critical role in contemporary economy, we show the reproduction role of key types of tacit knowledge in ensuring the stable rates of economic growth.
Methods The methodological platform comprises a system paradigm that determines the role of cross-disciplinary approach to analyzing tacit knowledge, and reflects an increasing significance of intangible factors in ensuring stable rates of economic development.
Results We comprehensively described tacit knowledge as the general cognitive basis for key competences and intangible assets of any contemporary economic agent. We also determined the cognitive nature of such crucial micro- and macroeconomic variables as expectations, trust, and some other forms of tacit knowledge.
