Importance The article reviews crucial methods for analysis and evaluation that can be used to examine the interaction of local authorities and grassroots representatives concerning the most critical issues of municipal socio-economic processes at the local level.
Objectives The research provides a comprehensive insight into possible methods to analyze and evaluate specifics of public administration in the city in line with ongoing socio-economic processes. We also suggest how the methodology should be improved to analyze and evaluate various aspects of the public administration system in the city.
Methods We used the systems approach to describe the mutual relation of all analysis and evaluation methods.
Results Considering the effective laws and the applicable scientific methodology, we determined types of analytical researches and specifics of evaluating the efficiency of the collaboration of the city administration and the local community as part of socio-economic processes.
Conclusions and Relevance Analysis and evaluation methods reveal various aspects of the way the city administration operates when it deals with the public. In cities public administration pursues creating appropriate social benefits that would satisfy public needs at the highest possible level. The results can become the framework for further performance of the city administration functions and its influence on ongoing socio-economic processes.
