Russian economy's instability: Theoretical aspects

Subject The article studies a combination of opportunities to overcome the instability of the Russian economy.
Objectives The main purpose of the paper is to identify reasons (signs) of instability of the Russian economy and develop a concept to overcome it.
Methods The study rests on fundamental premises of economic theory, applied aspects of theory and methodology of systems analysis, research in the field of competitiveness and economic efficiency.
Results The paper offers a concept to overcome the instability of the Russian economy. Its implementation should force the ruling elite to re-examine its further existence. The considered theoretical aspects of economic instability enable to increment knowledge in socio-economic systems management in the context of arranging the sequential actions that would enhance the interrelation of subsystems and increase their mutual and cumulative dependance.
Conclusions and Relevance Instability is one of possible components of economic volatility that demonstrates inability or limited ability to promptly and adequately recover. The main features of economy' instability is the inability to exercise control over changes in the reproductive cycle and unlock the current and future socio-economic potential.
