Importance The article discusses prospects of the Russian-U.S. dialogue on regional security issues. The 2014 political events in the western borders of Russia made almost all countries think of adjusting their long-term social, political and economic development. Objectives The research reviews the Russian-U.S. relationships as the basis for dialogue on regional efficiency issues, and identifies how this dialogue can be improved for purposes of social, political and economic development of the USA, Russia and other countries. Methods The research analyzes the Russian-U.S. dialogue, prospects of the Russian-U.S. relationships, and their future scenarios up to 2020, and regional security issues. Using methods of political analysis, I evaluated prospects for ensuring regional security in Europe, Middle East, Central Asia and Asia-Pacific region, post-Soviet area and the Arctic. Results I propose an approach to evaluating the existing models for developing the Russian-U.S. relationships so to resolve regional security issues in Europe, Middle East, Central Asia and Asia-Pacific region under contemporary circumstances. Conclusions and Relevance As Russia is implementing its the Eurasian mission, it is still critical to ensure regional security in Europe, Middle East, Central Asia and Asia-Pacific region, post-Soviet area and the Arctic. The Russian-U.S. dialogue may become a possible tool to ensure regional security in the current circumstances.
