Intellectual property in the Russian professional football as a target for the management system in virtual environment: fundamentals of business model
Importance Considering the development of intellectual property market in real and virtual environments, especially during Russia's preparation for FIFA World Cup 2018, it is critical to examine a business model of the Russian professional football at the meso- and microlevels. Objectives We formulate clauses on intellectual property items held by a football club and managed in real and virtual environments, substantiate that specific and versatile items should be regulated in real and virtual environments. The article analyzes turnover of the Russian professional football market through management of intellectual property items, substantiates the need to regulate the attitude of the football team to income (profit) through business and legal structure (commercial, non-commercial). We also articulate key principles of the business model of the Russian professional football through the mechanism for managing intellectual property items in real and virtual environments. Methods We applied general scientific methods of theoretical and empirical cognition, analysis, classification of theoretical sources, hypotheses, empirical analysis of the Russian professional football market, methods for evaluating the intellectual property management. Results We formulated key principles of the business model for the Russian professional football through management of intellectual property in real and virtual environments. The management system of the professional football organization comprises two modules, i.e. compulsory and additional ones. Conclusions and Relevance We formulated principles for the Russian professional football at the meso- and microlevels through management of intellectual property in virtual environment. Practical results are applicable to management practices of the Russian professional football.
