Importance The youth is a generation, which builds the future of Russia. National growth pace and directions depend on the youth activity. As new global challenges arise, new goals of the national socio-economic development require consistent updates, solutions and mechanisms of the State youth policies. Hence, the youth policies become especially important.
Objectives The research examines the efficiency of the youth policies in the Primorsky Krai of Russia, and shapes what should be done to make appropriate solutions and unleash political activity among the youth.
Methods Social and political views of the youth were evaluated by surveying students of the Primorsky Krai's universities. Respondents were asked to answer open-ended questions. To process their answers, I used a special computer-assisted technology that allows shifting from raw data to structured ones.
Results I analyzed questionnaires completed by students of the Primorsky Krai, evaluated their socio-political views and structured their suggestions on how the region's youth policies should be enhanced.
Conclusions and Relevance Knowledge of rights and obligations, timely information and motivation will help the youth to become more politically involved. The State should pay attention to growing up young political activists who would be able to lead a broad young audience. The State should also prevent external political forces from destructive influence on the youth.
