Importance The article proposes an approach, which, in my opinion, will provide a general description of the subject, find a relevant solution to current issues of the State regulation of the labor market. Objectives The research devises a theoretical and practical approach to implementing an integral concept of the State regulation of the labor market, considering a comprehensive analysis of global trends and their existing restrictions in Russia. Methods The methodological underpinning is based on fundamental provisions of the labor economy, and regulatory documents of government authorities on the labor market regulation. Results I outlined a set of activities for adjusting the existing State regulation mechanism, including areas that indicated the direction of modernization and innovative development of the labor market. Conclusions and Relevance I prove the need to modernize the State regulation of the labor market and implemented a comprehensive approach to examining the expertise of developed countries, thus describing how the labor market regulation approaches change, and formulating the main areas for their conceptual interpretation. The findings may be used by federal and regional government authorities and education institutions.
