Importance The article deals with the issues of improving the efficiency of the national economy management by synchronizing the development of its components, economic processes and interests. This issue is relevant as it is important to improve approaches to strategic management of economy as the most effective mechanism for implementing the Russian State policy on protection of its national interests, refining the performance of public authorities and administration methods in ensuring the national economic security. Objectives Based on the available experience of national researchers and statesmen, formulating the effective economic policy, the research pursues finding the most effective ways to improve the economic policy. Methods The research employs the horizontal and vertical comparative analysis that allows finding a statistically important relation between economic sectors and types of economic activities. We use econometric models based on statistical data and our researches. The article presents the content analysis of proceedings on the national economic management enhancement by increasing the synchronization of its development of its sectors and segments. Results The article illustrates the activities aimed at synchronizing economic processes and interests of the State and business through optimized State strategic management of economic development. Conclusions and Relevance We conclude that the State should actively ensure the strategic management in order to protect the national interests of the Russian Federation, including economic interests in line with the security-through-development principle.
