Some aspects of generating stress resistance in the modern society and State

Importance The article reviews issues of generating and maintaining stress resistance of the society and the State in the current circumstances at each level of the social system.
     Objectives The research pursues a social and political analysis of the stress resistance structure of the society and the State, mechanisms for generating stress resistance, formulating the main areas for improving the stress resistance in the society and the State.
     Methods The research relies upon a horizontal and comparative analysis and reviews the contemporary concept of the social development as articulated in the proceedings of P.A. Sorokin, K. Mannheim, T. Parsons, A. Giddens, P. Sztompka, G. Bechmann on risks influencing the social processes.
     Results We find directions for improving stress resistance of the Russian society and the State during the transition to the post-industrial, information society and growing globalization. The results may be applied to solve a wide spectrum of tasks for ensuring the national security, sustainable development of the society and the State in various and emergency situations.
     Conclusions and Relevance We conclude that stress resistance is a crucial component of national security that reflects how the society feels, and each aspects of its life at various levels. It is important to develop areas for increasing the stress resistance of the society and the State that requires a comprehensive approach to their implementation.
