Importance The article researches the processes of ownership concentration, which are growing fast in the Russian agriculture. These processes stimulate a horizontal and vertical integration of production, particularly, in financial management. They have led to the emergence and rapid development of enterprise's integrated structures. However, the lack of legislative consolidation of the concepts of corporations, holding companies and other types of integrated structures, as well as high acceleration capacity and complexity of internal logistics, its geographically-distributed and diversified character, a great number of economic indicators, which characterize the activities of its organization at the different levels, in particular, at the level of its integral enterprises, pose a problem of weak manageability. Objectives The paper aims to identify the main directions of management system improvement for integrated corporate structures as a case study of an agro-industrial holding. Methods I have reviewed scientific literature in the field of integrated corporate structures and urgent problems of such structures management, and also provided the expert evaluation of their development results in the Krasnodar Krai. The article also devised economic characteristics of a typical integrated corporate structure. Results As the paper's findings, I clarified the 'corporation' and 'holding' concepts, and also defined the number of organizations, which comprise integrated corporate structures, as well as their contribution to the Krasnodar Krai's gross regional product. The article provides characteristics of the target of research, allowing validating the choice of the ways of improving agro-industrial holding management. Conclusions and Relevance The research findings lead to a conclusion that integrated corporate structures are of great interest for the Krasnodar Territory's economy. However, while performing their activities, integrated structures face a wide range of problems, a research of which is devoted to a large number of scientific studies. However, the literature does not sufficiently highlight a comprehensive approach while addressing this issue. The identified problems of the target of research helped to validate the choice of the basic directions of management improvement: creating effective organizational structures, systems for decision support, and arranging material and financial flows.
