Importance The drive to improve global competitiveness of national economies and their business structures in the global economic environment has led to the use of offshore schemes of interaction as one of the success factors in the context of escalating competition struggle. In these conditions, the study of the off-shoring process and forms of its manifestations at different levels assumes a special relevance.
Objectives The research aims to make a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the structure of the off-shoring process of global economy from the perspective of a level approach. In this research, we have examined all forms of the off-shoring process: at the microlevel, which is represented by business units; at the macrolevel, which is represented by the individual national economies; at the mega-level of global economy, as well as the systematization and specification of the definitions related to this field.
Methods In this paper, we used the logical and theoretical analysis synthesis techniques, as well as the methods of systematic and structural analyses of various forms of the off-shoring process in global economy at the aforemen-tioned levels taking into account the historical development logic of this process. The undertaken study allowed, firstly, to systematize the conceptual apparatus of the off-shoring process according to the levels: offshore/onshore companies; offshore business/off-shoring is designed to describe the process of off-shoring at microlevel of business units; offshore/offshore area/offshore jurisdiction, onshore/offshore jurisdiction-sparring is designed for the macrolevel of the national economy; offshore centers are designed to describe the process of off-shoring macrolevels of global economy. Secondly, we propose definition of off-shoring of the global economy as an array of processes for an increase of the number of economic actors that use offshore and sparring-offshore jurisdictions to enhance international economic cooperation and to achieve the most favorable business environment, as well as the increase of an influence of global offshore centers on the development of global economy through non-transparent accumulations and capital transfer across the national borders.
Results The study's findings help to extend and complement the scientific understanding of the off-shoring content in global economy.
Conclusions and Relevance The study's findings can serve to the national authorities and international organiza-tions as a theoretical basis for the development of effective measures in combating the off-shoring, and they also should encourage elimination of its negative impact on the development of global and national economies.
