Importance At present, the supply of labor in the labor market does not meet the demand, neither by vocational nor by qualification structure. This situation requires consideration of the important features of the labor market, as a mismatch between the demand and labor force produced by the current system of professional education.
Objectives The aim of this work was to analyze the paradoxes of interaction of the educational complex and the labor market, to study the new scientific challenges, to address the emerging trends and assess their impact on the current state of the labor market.
Methods The methodology for the study belongs to a logical, systematic, structural, sociological, statistical, com-parative and factorial analysis, economic-mathematical methods, inter-country comparisons, and expert estimates.
Results The results of the study are in the further development of the theory of the labor market in the context of transformation processes taking place in the modern economy and system of training. The author systematized conditions improving State regulation of the labor market in Russia, identified a set of processes, which can be defined as the creation of a new growth model, including education. The paper says of the main features of the emerging models, which can be of a long-term nature for modern Russia and can have a significant impact on the development of education in the context of its collaboration with the labor market. Among them, there is the modernization of the economy, increase in the cost of labor (especially in the public sector) and the increase of its role in achieving the well-being of workers, improving labor legislation and vocational training.
Relevance The conceptual provisions presented in the work, theoretical approaches and practical conclusions are recommended as a methodological basis for the implementation of effective public policies in labor market and training.
