The article serves as the review of the collective monograph "Current status, trends and prospects of the CIS countries development: economic, social and environmental aspects", which substantiates the necessity for formation and development of economical Slavonic studies as a new and promising direction of scientific research. The author also analyses the different directions of socio-economic development in the post-Soviet space.
