Main directions of oil and gas companies as a subject of Russian innovative system

The article investigates and it classifies the features of the innovative development of Russia and, in particular, the oil and gas industry as the subject of the national innovation system. The paper reveals the need to accelerate the innovation processes in the petroleum sector which will allow intensifying innovation in Russia and increasing the competitiveness of oil and gas companies in the world market. The authors considers on the basis of the results determining priorities of innovative development in oil and gas industry which include the policy of "open" innovation, networking, innovative development, the use of crowdsourcing practices to expand the pool of specialists involved in the development of innovative solutions.
