Strategy of innovative development of railway transport in eastern siberia and far east and actual issues of the Russian-Mongolian cooperation

The article provides an overview of the development of rail transport in the border areas of Russia and Mongolia since the 1930 and so far. The article discusses the Trans-Siberian railroad and the Baikal-Amur highway freights of the first tariff class (more than 50% of the freights going for export, - raw materials). The authors point out that the freight transports on these railroads cheap and transportation has to be very cheap for this freight. The paper emphasizes that ensuring profitable operation of these highways requires price level increase for transportation of this nomenclature of freights for 77% that can make transportation of raw freights unprofitable. The work gives the estimation of the main provisions of the strategy Realization of strategy of innovative development of the Trans-Siberian railroad and the Baikal-Amur highway.
