Environmental management in the Russian Federation: problems and prospects of development

The article analyzes the legal framework in the field of environmental protection in terms of stimulating the introduction of environmental innovations, developed proposals for its improvement, identifies problems hindering wide introduction in practice of enterprises and organizations of environmental management systems (EMS). The authors conclude that significant positive changes in the field of environmental protection and resource conservation are possible only if the system design and implementation of regional environmental management, allowing achieving effective results by considering changes in the indicators characterizing the economic activity in management of development of the regional socio-economic system.
