Dominating tendencies in development of national economic systems in an essential measure are caused by the cultural factor, understood in a broad sense, including not only saved up at various stages of historical process the corresponding heritage, but also behavioral installations prevailing in society and valuable belief. The article considers the importance of culture as a factor of economic development and the establishment of national institutions on the example of specific historical events. The paper analyzes the interdependence of cultural and institutional factors in social and economic development. The authors show that the quality of national institutions is one of the important conditions of providing positive economic dynamics today.
