Cross-country analysis of vulnerability criteria and sustainability

The article analyzes the transition from the model of unlimited economic growth to the concept of sustainable global development. The authors considers correlation values of the ecological footprint and biological capacity of the regions of the world based on the statistics in 2012 As a result of cross-country comparison of the values of the ecological footprint and the human development index reveals the state that meet the criteria of sustainable development. They conclude that the increase in consumption is not a prerequisite for achieving a high level of development.
