In the article theoretical and methodological approaches to a problem of providing economic security are presented. This subject is analyzed in regional aspect, in relation to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The author gave a methodology of studying and an assessment of economic security in the system of national priorities of the safety which is expressing in development of the corresponding regional concept, reflecting long-term state interests.
